It’s finally here. The vehicle we’ve been talking about since late January. First, it was just a prototype, as if the model didn’t come to the North America International Auto Show in a package very similar to the official redesign. It’s true that we only got a glimpse of the new model in all its official glory back in March, but now we don’t have to dream anymore. The 2019 Acura RDX is now available in the Washington D.C. area here at Radley Acura. Read the rest of this entry »

How often do you need to change an Acura timing belt?

A timing belt or chain is an important engine component in that it effectively times the rotation of the crankshaft and camshaft. It’s basically harmonizing the strokes of each engine to get optimum efficiency and prevent any sort of damage from the piston hitting valves. You need a timing belt for your engine to run, so naturally you want to replace it before it wears out. So how often do you need to change the timing belt in your Acura? We won’t lie. We’re itching to get it into our inventory. The 2019 Acura RDX is said to be the biggest redesign the brand has ever seen. We’re on the edge of our seats to feel exactly what the vehicle will feel like when it’s out on the road. A potent turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder replaces the current 3.4-liter V6. The segment-first 10-speed automatic transmission comes in as a fresh option over the current six-speed automatic. Let’s not forget, Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive is returning to the model. Yes, we’re excited by the news that the 2019 Acura RDX is finally and officially in production. This means the model has started the manufacturing process, which we all know is something of an important step to it reaching dealerships. Read the rest of this entry »

2018 Acura MDX Standard Features

When you first begin the automotive research process, you very likely consider the starting MSRP of a vehicle. For most brands, this is looking at the base trim, but Acura does things a bit differently. Rather than have trim levels, you start with a standard model and add-on packages for even more luxury features. Is it normal for the Acura brake pedal to move at a stop?

When you drive a new car, there are things you like, and then there are things that take time to adjust to. For example, if you’re updating from an older vehicle, you’ll love Bluetooth connectivity, but it will take some time to perfectly understand your menu options. This is all expected, but what if a vehicle doesn’t respond quite as you’re accustomed to? Naturally, there’s always a bit of fear of a defect when you make an expensive purchase.
