A redesign is always a fun time when a car not only gains new features, advanced refinement and frequently powertrain improvements, but also a new look. After all, it’s in the name. The 2018 Acura RLX has a sportier appearance than it did previous, although it already looked fierce. So what are some of the enhancements to the style of the 2018 Acura RLX? We look at the changes to its overall design, as well as specific color options offered for this model year.

Part of the changes to the 2018 Acura RLX center on the brand’s goal to create a distinct design DNA that perfectly highlights the Precision Crafted Performance of the vehicles across the lineup. The Acura RLX has the signature diamond-pentagon grille, a sculpted hood, updated wheel designs, LED taillights, dual exhaust finished and a gloss black rear diffuser.

There are a total of seven color options for this model year, including two premium colors. Shoppers can choose from the following:

  • Platinum White Pearl
  • Lunar Silver Metallic
  • Modern Steel Metallic
  • Fathom Blue Pearl
  • Gilded Pewter Metallic
  • Majestic Black Pearl (Premium)
  • Brilliant Red Metallic (Premium)

Interior color options include Ebony, Graystone, Seacoast and Espresso. Much like the exterior, the interior has a new look with updated premium materials, Milano leather seats with contrast piping and stitching and available black headliner. Altogether, the model is more refined, more advanced and offers better standard features. Chief among them is the now standard AcuraWatch suite, which includes Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow and Lane Departure Mitigation, among other features like the new Traffic Jam Assist.
