FWD Precision All-Wheel Steer™ (P-AWS®)
The standard option in the 2020 Acura RLX, FWD Precision All-Wheel Steer™ (P-AWS®) offers impressive handling and stability. This system differentiates from standard front-wheel drive (FWD) drivetrains in that rear wheels have the ability to adjust its toe angle as needed.
Sport Hybrid Super Handling All-Wheel Drive™ (SH-AWD®)
Available on the 2020 Acura RLX and included with the Advance Package, Sport Hybrid Super Handling All-Wheel Drive, also known as SH-AWD®, is an advanced hybrid and all-wheel drive system. Its three-motor system gets paired with the engine to produce more power, better fuel efficiency, and enhance performance. Drivers will also enjoy extra protection while driving on slick road conditions as power is diverted to the wheels with the best traction.
Horsepower, Torque, and Fuel Economy
Whether you choose P-AWS® or SH-AWD®, you can expect the same 3.5L V6 engine. However, the horsepower and torque will vary depending on which selection you make. With P-AWS®, the 2020 Acura RLX will provide 310 horsepower and 272 lb-ft of torque. The fuel economy with this setup measures to be 20 city mpg* and 29 highway mpg*.
For the SH-AWD® powertrain, the engine and motor combine for up to 377 horsepower and 341 lb-ft of torque. The 2020 Acura RLX SH-AWD® fuel economy is 28 city mpg* and 29 highway mpg*.
