Looking for a drivetrain that can tackle slippery road conditions better than FWD? If so, then SH-AWD® is the drivetrain for you. This system sends engine power to each individual wheel as needed to keep traction on the road.
If you decide to go with SH-AWD®, you can expect the same 3.5L direct-injection V6 engine that is included with FWD. The fuel economy for this powertrain is 19 city mpg* and 26 highway mpg*.
Sport Hybrid SH-AWD®
The last powertrain option for the 2020 Acura MDX is Sport Hybrid SH-AWD®. This powertrain offers the same benefits as SH-AWD® while upgrading the engine strength and fuel efficiency.
With Sport Hybrid SH-AWD®, the MDX will be equipped with the 3.0L port-injection V6 engine and 3-motor hybrid system. Up to 321 horsepower, 26 city mpg*, and 27 highway mpg* can be produced with this available powertrain.
