What is Acura Care and why get it?
When you get a new car, you feel good knowing that you have new car warranty coverage in case there are any unknown defects or future safety recalls. It happens even to the best brands, but the best brands have you covered. With Acura, you get three years or 36,000 miles of basic coverage and five years or 60,000 miles of powertrain coverage. These are warranties to cover the failure of components due to manufacturer error, which is why many Acura shoppers choose to get Acura Care. What is it why should you consider it?
Additional vehicle protection
Acura Care is a vehicle service contract that provides a variety of protections against expensive repairs after your warranty coverage expires. Wear and tear is natural for any vehicle, but it’s still disappointing if something goes from after three years and one day or 36,001 miles, right? You can extend this coverage up to eight years or 120,000 miles, whichever comes first.
Acura Care is available on new, certified pre-owned and pre-owned Acura models at the time of purchase. Coverage includes your drivetrain, electrical components, chassis, heating and cooling and all Acura genuine accessories, along with powertrain coverage. These benefits begin at the end of your limited warranty, but there are others that begin right when you purchase your vehicle. This includes rental car reimbursement up to $45 per day for six days, roadside assistance, 24/7 concierge emergency services and up to $100 of trip interruption reimbursement for up to 3 days.
Basically, Acura Care gives you the peace of mind that major repairs won’t cost you big in the future. Plus, you can add this on when you purchase your vehicle and finance it at 0% interest. If you decide to sell your vehicle before the coverage runs out, it’s also transferable.
