What Does the 2021 Acura TLX Type S Offer?
The 2021 Acura TLX Type S is the first in the next generation of Type S vehicles. The TLX Type S offers outstanding performance and a rich selection of Type S exclusive features such as the Orchid leather interior and Tiger Eye Pearl exterior paint option.
Under the hood, the 2021 TLX Type S is equipped with the 3.0L Type S Turbo V6 engine with 355 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque. The 10-speed automatic transmission will also be included standard as well as Super Handling All-Wheel Drive™ (SH-AWD®) with true torque vectoring. Other performance features offered with the TLX Type S include Adaptive Dampers, sport-tuned chassis with a double-wishbone front suspensive, Brembo™ 4-piston front calipers with larger front rotors and red calipers, and the NSX-derived electro-servo braking system. Drivers will be able to choose between the standard 20” multi-spoke wheels with Pirelli Cinturato P7 all-season tires or the available High Performance Wheel and Tire Package with NSX-inspired split 5-spoke wheels and 255-series Pirelli P-Zero summer tires.
Inside, the 2021 Acura TLX Type S offers 16-way front-row sport seats with power-adjustable bolsters, Type S headrest embossing, supple Milano leather with Ultrasuede® inserts, ELS STUDIO 3D® 17-speaker premium audio system, True Touch Interface™, and a 10.2” information display. AcuraWatch™ will be included as well as the first-ever front passenger airbag designed to minimize head rotation from a collision.
